Description
This course introduces the participant to the fascinating and dynamic world of XML. Initially, a historical overview of XML origins is presented: GML, SGML, and HTML. The participant is introduced to the different forces inside the web arena and the factors that have led to the creation of XML. Next, come the new possibilities stemming from the XML technology: improved business communication, information sharing, data reusing, and distant learning. The participant is introduced to XML-related technologies such as XSL (XSLT), XPath, DTD, Schema and namespaces. The participant will get practical knowledge of current XML parsers & technologies, such as DOM & SAX. The course places great emphasis on supplying the participant with the ability to create: Complex and modular XML documents, XSL transformations documents, Schemas, XML applications using .Net System.Xml/ Java …, (.Net) - Programming With XMLReader, XMLSerializer, XMLNavigator
