XML1 - Version: 1.5 XML Overview 1 day course Description This seminar introduces the participant to the fascinating and dynamic world of XML. Initially, the participant is introduced to the different forces inside the web arena and the factors that have led to the creation of XML. Next, we discuss the powerful possibilities stemming from the XML technology, such as improved business communication, information sharing, independent presentation layers, and standard configuration files. Then, we introduce popular XML-related technologies such as XSL (XSLT), XPath, DTD and Schema. We continue by presenting SAX and DOM, the two standards for XML parsing, by demonstrating the popular JAXP API in Java. Finally, we conclude the day with a quick overview of selected languages and standards that were developed by harnessing the power of XML and its related technologies Intended audience This course is intended for Programmers, Software Development Team Leaders, Project Managers.
