The training course on Windows Vista Media Center SDK introduces the Media Center in Windows Vista, takes the audience through the process of designing and development of Windows Media Center Presentation Layer Applications. Te course gives an introduction to Windows Media Center, the API support, UI creation, SDK, and development tools. It also introduces the concept of separation of Model and View and discussion of the basic Media Center Markup Language building blocks such as UI, Content, etc. At the course main features of Media Center Application development, like Rules, Animations, Input Handlers, Installation handlers will be discussed.
The course is intended for software developers who want to build compelling Media Center Presentation Layer applications using Windows Vista Media Center Software Development Kit. The course will provide an overview of Media Center, the design goals and guidelines for a Remote Control experience, details of the XML-based declarative language called MCML to create compelling UI, and introduction to Add-in development using C#. Familiarity with C# or any .NET Programming language is recommended.
